Virtual Work Experience Opportunity with BAE Systems

Do you know a young person looking for work experience this summer?

BAE Systems is offering a female-focused Virtual Work Experience Programme for young people aged 14-18, providing a unique opportunity to explore careers in engineering and technology.

Running from 22-26 June 2026, the week-long programme is being delivered online and is designed to inspire the next generation of engineers. In support of International Women in Engineering Day, the initiative aims to encourage more young people – particularly girls – to consider careers in the engineering sector.

During the five-day programme, participants will work on a real-world engineering challenge, developing knowledge and skills as they design a solution to a project brief. The experience will be interactive, with opportunities to collaborate with other students and hear directly from professionals working across different areas of the business.

Students who successfully complete the programme will receive a Silver Industrial Cadet certificate, awarded by the Engineering Development Trust.
