Refined Employer Engagement Plan Adopted

The Island Careers Partnership (ICP) is pleased to announce the adoption of the refined Employer Engagement Plan for 2024-25. This plan builds upon the initial framework shared at the July Education and Business Summit, incorporating valuable feedback received from stakeholders.

The plan focuses on strengthening ties between Isle of Wight employers and local schools, enhancing students’ career readiness and connection to real-world opportunities. Key elements include a centralised online calendar, a new website for sharing stories and updates, a comprehensive business database, standardised protocols for collaboration, and a resource library for career education.

The website is now live, providing a central hub for sharing updates, good-news stories, and best practices to enhance employer engagement across the community. We are currently working on developing a dedicated section filled with valuable resources for both businesses and educational establishments. This section will serve as a comprehensive guide to support career education and collaboration, showcasing the opportunities available across the Isle of Wight.

“We are committed to creating an impactful employer engagement ecosystem,” said Richard White, trustee of the Island Careers Partnership. “As we move forward, we welcome ongoing feedback to ensure that the plan delivers meaningful outcomes for our community.”

We invite community members to share their insights to help shape the future of this initiative. Together, we can continue to improve the quality and breadth of employer engagement across the Isle of Wight.
