ICP Supports Brave Island’s New Work Experience Scheme
The Island Careers Partnership is thrilled to support Brave Island’s exciting new work experience placements for young people on the Isle of Wight. This initiative, launched in collaboration with local heritage and conservation partners, will offer over 30 curated placements over the next two years, providing invaluable opportunities for young people aged 16-25 to gain experience in unique roles.
Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Community Foundation, these placements are designed to equip young people with practical skills, explore career paths, and open doors to industries that are often hard to access.
Placements include:
- Heritage Work Experience Placements: Six-month, one-day-a-week roles with a £100/day stipend, offering skills in research, conservation, marketing, and events.
- Starter Work Experience Placements: Short-term, 10-day roles ideal for those new to the job market, with £50/day expenses covered.
We are proud to champion initiatives like this that invest in the future workforce of the Isle of Wight, helping young people discover their potential and build their careers.
