Britten-Norman Seeks 10 New Apprentices on the Isle of Wight

Britten-Norman is inviting applications for 10 places on its four-year Advanced Technical Apprenticeship Programme, giving local people the chance to start a long-term career in aerospace engineering.

Based at the company’s Bembridge site, apprentices will earn while they learn, gaining hands-on experience building the world-famous Britten-Norman Islander aircraft. Delivered in partnership with Isle of Wight College, the programme combines classroom learning with practical engineering experience, preparing apprentices for skilled, in-demand roles in aerospace.

No prior experience is required – the programme is open to school leavers and anyone looking to start a practical, skilled career locally. On completion, apprentices gain a nationally recognised qualification and valuable engineering skills for a long-term career on the Island.

Apprenticeships like this are vital for the Isle of Wight, helping young people access rewarding careers and supporting local businesses to grow and thrive in high-skill industries.

📅 Applications are now open. For more information and to apply, visit the Britten-Norman website.
